Dr. Sunil Rajput is passionate about driving health research and innovation towards through collaboration. Sunil serves as the Director of Research in Health at Alberta Innovates and leads the research investment portfolio towards health and economic outcomes for Alberta and beyond. In this role, Sunil is responsible for supporting researchers and companies seeking to translate or commercialize health research into sustainable human-centered care. The Accelerating Innovations into CarE (AICE) – Concepts and LevMax – Health are two major flagship programs within the portfolio for early-stage clients seeking to advance novel health digital health solutions. Sunil offers 20+ years of broad and diverse experience in interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral research, entrepreneurship, and building partnerships in industry, academia, and government. Previously, Sunil served as an industry scientist at InnoTech Alberta for 13 years conducting market-driven research. Sunil holds a BSc in Microbiology, an MSc in Invertebrate Pathology, and a PhD in Analytical Chemistry, all from the University of Alberta.
