How do virtual networking opportunities work?

Here are ways to network with in-person and online attendees.

1. Automated, one-on-one matchmaking in the networking area
An online hub for automated one-on-one meetings which can be accessed via the Hopin app or through a desktop login. The networking zone on the app and platform, Hopin, offers an experience that feels like FaceTime or Hangouts, with two people paired over a direct video call. In the networking tab, when an attendee clicks the ready button, the system searches for someone else who has done the same. If someone else is available, the two are matched instantly and a two-minute video chat begins. After two minutes, the meeting ends.

2. Private, one-on-one meetings through the people tab
When you click “people” at the top of the event page, you can view any contact info they submitted, send that person a direct message, or even invite them to a one-on-one video chat. This way, you can initiate meaningful connections with people who have something in common with you.

3. Scheduling one-on-one meetings
While the Networking area promotes randomized connections, you can connect further by scheduling private meetings and video calling with up to 19 other people. This can be done within the People tab of the event and selecting Schedule a meeting at the bottom of the tab, or finding the profile of the attendee that you would like to meet with and selecting Schedule a meeting from within their profile.

An attendee list will be available within Hopin.
