Shalini is a passionate researcher, educator, and tech leader with over 20 years of experience in the field of in vitro diagnostics. She holds a PhD in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, and has served as a distinguished faculty of engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi since 2010. In 2020, she received a National Award for excellence in research by the President of India. In 2021, Shalini came to Canada on a sabbatical and decided to relocate with her family, leaving her tenured faculty position in India. In 2023, she founded Asima Health, based on the innovative research developed in her lab. Shalini has embraced diverse cultures, having lived in four countries across three continents. In her leisure time, she enjoys playing board games, cooking and exploring spiritual literature.
