Dr. Rina Carlini is an accomplished business leader with over 25 years of experience working in life sciences, digital health, nanotechnology, and sustainable tech sectors. Following her 15-year career as corporate innovation leader at Xerox Canada, Rina’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2012 when she established Optimal Innovation Group, a Canadian technology innovation consulting firm that develops market commercialization strategies for tech companies, accelerators and non-profits across Canada. As a builder of valuable next-gen venture opportunities, Rina co-founded and launched the Healthyher.Life hub in 2023 to be Canada’s first women’s hormonal healthcare navigator platform, which she leads as CEO. Rina Carlini has built an impressive track record of success with her prior leadership roles as CEO at Haltech Innovation Centre, President of Cloud DX Canada, VP Innovation at Rapid Dose Therapeutics and Director of Nanotechnology at Xerox Canada. Rina’s credentials include B.Sc. (Honours) from Concordia University, Ph.D. from University of Waterloo (1998 Gold Medal) and in 2017 was awarded the University of Waterloo Science Alumni of Honour Award. Rina is the inventor of 105 US patents and has co-authored 25 peer-reviewed research papers. An ardent life-long learner, Rina completed executive management certificates in Business Model Innovation (Harvard, 2014) and AI Applications for Business Strategy (MIT Sloan School of Management, 2018). Through her work in several advisory board roles with Concordia University’s Gina Cody School of Engineering, the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology, and recently with Ontario Health Technology Advisory Committee, Rina Carlini is deeply committed to helping advance new solutions for the healthcare industry.
