Ratmir Derda received his B.Sci. in Physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a postdoctoral training at Harvard University and Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering. He is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Alberta (2011-present) with >70 peer review publications from over 100 diverse trainees in Derda Research Lab. Ratmir Derda founded 48Hour Discovery Inc in Edmonton, Alberta in 2017 where he served as a CEO (2017-2022) and CSO (2022-present) working with >20 full time employees and world-leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
