Jefferson Tea is currently the Vice-President, Medical & Scientific Affairs at Takeda Canada Inc. leading a team of professionals in Medical Affairs, Research & Development, Patient Services, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Operations.

He has been with Takeda for over 10 years and has over 25 years of experience in the bio-pharmaceutical industry in Research & Development, Medical Affairs, Marketing & Sales, Patient Services and Market Access. He previously worked with multinational companies such as Amgen, AstraZeneca and Pfizer at the Canadian and Global levels. Dr. Tea holds a PhD in pharmacology and an MBA from the University of Montreal. In addition, he has completed C-Suite Level Advanced Leadership training programs from Rotman Business School (University of Toronto), AdMare BioInnovations Executive Institute (Vancouver, BC) and Columbia University Executive Institute (New-York, NY). Finally, he is a Board Member of CATALIS (non-for-profit organization to optimize clinical research), Advisor for Clinical Trials Ontario, CADTH (Canadian Agency for Drugs & Technologies in Health), PAAB (Pharmaceutical Advertising Advisory Board) and University of Toronto Rotman Business School.
