Throughout her professional journey, Catalina has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to leading teams dedicated to tackling health challenges. Whether serving as the Co-Founder and COO of Nanostics, Program Director of the Alberta Prostate Cancer Research Initiative, working in clinical laboratories, or conducting oncology clinical trials at the Lawson Health Research Institute, she has consistently driven progress in healthcare.
With a background in Microbiology and Medical Laboratory Science, Catalina earned her post-graduate diploma in Microbiology and Quality Systems from Colombia. Having resided in Canada for the past 17 years, she pursued a master’s degree in Medical Biophysics from Western University. Additionally, she honed her leadership skills through post-graduate programs in Management Development and Executive Leadership with the adMare Academy and the University of Alberta, respectively.
Catalina’s teams are committed to enhancing the health and quality of life for individuals affected by cancer and other illnesses. They collaborate to develop, validate and commercialize innovative diagnostic tests, vaccines, and therapies. Ultimately, their mission is to provide clarity, healing, and disease prevention to patients, driving positive change in healthcare.
