Vineet Johnson (BSc.PT., PG.Dip.PT., MSc, PhD(c)) is a Neuroscientist and Physiotherapist with more than 25 years clinical, academic and scientific research experience in Canada, UK and India. His research interests are focused on exploring neuromuscular recovery strategies for the hand in persons with stroke. The primary goal of his work is to explore motor control and neuroplasticity with the use to goal driven exercise strategies, and study the mechanisms that mediates neuroplastic changes in the human brain.
He is currently the CEO of IRegained, where the team has developed the MyHand system, a smart connected mechatronic medical device that uses targeted strategies to improve hand function in stroke survivors. The system employs tele-rehabilitation technology to provide safer therapy in the comfort of a patient’s home, which plays a significant role in this post-COVID world.
