This approach is wrought with error and oftentimes patients are too far along to prevent further complications. After seeing this problem every day within her clinical practice and personally having lost her Grandfather to complications following a diabetic foot ulcer, Dr. Karen Cross was inspired to improve patient access to tissue health assessments and to allow clinicians to intervene sooner with these patients, saving limbs and saving lives, which led to the creation of MIMOSA Pro.

The MIMOSA Pro is an imaging platform that empowers streamlined tissue health assessments with a pocket-sized medical device that captures temperature, tissue oxygenation, and digital images in less than one second, providing clinicians real-time insights needed to determine next steps in care. The images captured are uploaded to a secure web portal where clinicians can identify early opportunities for intervention, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with other clinicians towards improved patient outcomes.
